Hear it yourself from our Yatris

Driving through sunsets while listening to Paath, meeting farmers, and witnessing the Seechewal model of water conservation — the Yatra felt as much spiritual as it was educational. I was deeply moved by how Guru Nanak’s teachings continue to inspire environmental and social change today. The resilience of the community, and the dedication of the Sanjhi Sikhiya team, strengthened my own resolve. It reawakened my connection to Punjab — not just as a place, but as a living, breathing ethos of humility, service, and collective responsibility.

I am amazed at the speed with which Sanjhi Sikhiya is moving towards transforming Punjab. The Punjab Yatra brought everything I had read about the state to life — from a thriving girls’ college in a small village to a family-run rugby ball factory building for the world. What stayed with me most was the spirit of Punjabiyat — the kindness, warmth, and deep sense of belonging. I returned more empathetic in my work and more connected to my roots. We are proud to support an initiative that is bold, impactful, and driven by exceptional execution.

From serving in Gurudwara langars to walking through golden wheat fields, the Yatra was a deeply grounding experience. Living on a farm and learning about permaculture offered a new relationship with land and community. What moved me most was witnessing people who have dedicated their lives to long-term change — patiently building trust, shifting farming practices, and reimagining education through experiential learning. The Yatra helped me understand Punjab’s challenges not as headlines, but as lived realities — and showed me the power of committed community action.
